
Equity markets are under some pressure resulting from fear of a second wave of Covid-19 as investors eye Midwestern states, Florida and South America. This could mean further lockdowns in some states or far more strict enforcement of health recommendations and laws. Indeed a lockdown is being considered in a small part of Germany after an infection in a meat plant. Given the markets’ current fragility, especially in the US without a second fiscal package, they remain vulnerable to such news flow.
