Transfers: Linklaters, M&G, Triodos, Flow, Goldman Sachs

This week’s overview of people transfers and appointments in and around Luxembourg includes updates from Linklaters, M&G Investments, Triodos Investment Management, Flow Traders and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Forster promoted to partner at Linklaters Luxembourg

Florence Forster has been promoted to partner in the corporate M&A practice at Linklaters Luxembourg, effective May 1, 2025. She is one of 34 new partners worldwide that the firm has announced.

Forster joined the firm in 2011 and has experience in private equity, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on the German market. She previously worked in the firm’s Paris and Frankfurt offices and participates in the PE4W committee of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association.

In addition to Forster’s promotion, Linklaters announced 14 other role changes in its Luxembourg office. Seven lawyers were promoted to senior managing associate: Adrian Danciu, Adrien Piron, Cyrielle Nis, Ida Jacotey, Irene Sanna, Louis-Eudes Giroux, and Marie-Christine O’Mahony. One lawyer, Marie Arnaud-Rio, was promoted to senior associate. Five others—Alice Yanni, Désirée Catalano, Giorgiana Dunca, Nathalie Zurel, and Romain Payre—were promoted to managing associate.

The promotions span several practice areas. In corporate, Jacotey and Sanna advise on private equity and capital markets. In tax, Nis and Piron focus on cross-border structuring and transactions. Danciu works in banking and capital markets, while Giroux is active in litigation and regulatory matters. Arnaud-Rio focuses on knowledge development and internal guidance in corporate law.

Anniss named portfolio manager at M&G 

Charlie Anniss has been appointed portfolio manager of the M&G (Lux) Nature and Biodiversity Solutions Fund, effective April 16. He reports to John William Olsen, head of M&G’s sustain & impact equity team, which manages around 5 billion euros in assets.

Anniss returns to M&G from Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), where he was co-head of impact investing. He led a team focused on strategies in developed markets, launched a biodiversity strategy, and co-managed a global positive impact fund. He will work closely with M&G’s sustainable & impact investing team, including Ben Constable-Maxwell, head of impact strategy. His appointment follows an expansion of the fund’s mandate.

Van Oort appointed managing director at Triodos 

Martijn van Oort has been appointed managing director finance, risk & operations at Triodos Investment Management. He will begin in his new role on May 6, the asset manager announced.

Van Oort has spent the past five years working as an independent interim manager for financial institutions. Earlier in his career, he held various senior management positions in the financial sector, including at Robeco and Van Lanschot Kempen, and spent six years at KPMG.

Kuehnel to step down as CEO of Flow Traders

Mike Kuehnel will step down as CEO of Flow Traders at the end of August, the Amsterdam-based market maker announced. Kuehnel joined the firm in 2021 and was initially appointed CFO. He became CEO in early 2023. He began his career at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, spent six years at Goldman Sachs, and later became a partner at Bain & Company before joining Flow Traders. The search for his successor is underway.

Flow Traders also announced the nomination of Marc Jansen as executive director. He will serve as co-chief trading officer alongside Alex Kieft. Jansen has been with the firm for nearly twelve years, joining as a trader and serving as global head of trading since 2024.

Verloop named co-head at Goldman Sachs 

Paul Verloop has started as co-head of insurance portfolio management EMEA at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), he announced on LinkedIn. Verloop has been with the firm since 2008, having joined NN Investment Partners, which was later integrated into GSAM.

He began his career there as a senior investment manager and was appointed head of the general account desk in 2018. His new role marks a promotion from that position.
